Data files

• Selected aggregated tables for census subdivisions and census divisions were created by the Canadian Century Research Infrastructure (CCRI), available in odesi.
• The following tables were purchased by the Map & Data Library to address data needs among the U of T community. These tables were then made available to the public, per the Statistics Canada open license agreement.
  • 1951 - Ninth Census of Canada - Population and Housing Characteristics by Census Tracts - Toronto
• University of Toronto has digitized the following tables:
  • Volume I, Table 2: area and density of population for counties and census divisions, 1931, 1941 and 1951.
  • Volume I, Table 3: area and density of population for incorporated cities, town and villages of 2,500 and over 1951.
• Microdata is available through the RDC program
