Teaching and learning international survey (TALIS)

TALIS is the international survey that offers an opportunity for teachers and school leaders to have their say in 6 areas:

  • Learning environment
  • Appraisal and feedback
  • Teaching practices and classroom environment
  • Development and support
  • School leadership
  • Self-efficacy and job satisfaction

Within participating countries, schools as well as teachers within schools, were randomly selected to take part in TALIS. For each country - except for smaller countries - some 200 schools and 20 teachers within each of these schools were sampled
