Although the Map & Data Library is physically closed, we are still available remotely and happy to help. We can conduct consultations using online teleconferencing software. Consultation and Instruction

The Data Visualization Librarian, Kelly Schultz, provides support for data visualization through consultation and instruction. Consultation meaning you can contact her to arrange to meet with you one-on-one to get help with data viz. Instruction meaning she creates and facilitates workshops (either open or for specific classes) on data viz related topics and tools. You can ask her for help with:

  • Understanding and applying data visualization best practices

  • Preparing and cleaning data for visualization

  • Selecting appropriate data to visualize or complement a visualization

  • Selecting the appropriate form of visualization for your data (e.g., bar chart or network diagram)

  • Selecting and using appropriate visualization tools
