Originally edited by William Brice and first published by Brill in 1981, this second edition has been completely revised and substantially augmented. New maps include 'environments and mineral resources', 'Iran under the Mongols' and 'the Caucasus in the Early Middle Ages'. The Atlas also includes a CD-Rom containing all the maps of the printed version but allowing sophisticated searching and a four level zooming function.
