Minority Populations by First Official Language Spoken (2001 Census Data)

This document includes three tables. Each table indicates the number and percentage of persons that constitute the official language minority, according to estimates of first official language spoken. Table I presents the data by province or territory, along with a summary of the data on the official-language minorities in Canada. Table II presents data for Census Metropolitan Areas. Table III presents a breakdown by province or territory, Census Metropolitan Area and Census Subdivision. Information on first official language spoken is not collected directly from respondents.
