Trends in international mathematics and science study (TIMSS) / Progress in international reading literacy study (PIRLS)

TIMSS was launched in 1995 and reports every four years on the mathematics and science achievement of fourth and eight grade students worldwide. Started in 2001, PIRLS reports every five years on the reading achievement of fourth grade students worldwide.
