Statistically Downscaled Global Climate Model Scenarios

Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium (PCIC) offers statisically downscaled daily Canada-wide climate scenarios, at a gridded resolution of 300 arc-seconds (0.0833 degrees, or roughly 10 km) for the simulated period of 1950-2100. The variables available include minimum temperature, maximum temperature, and precipitation. PCIC is a regional climate service centre at the University of Victoria that conducts quantitative studies on the impacts of climate change and climate variability in the Pacific and Yukon region.

Please note that the predecessor to PCIC was the Canadian Institute for Climate Studies (CICS), a not-for-profit Canadian corporation initiated by the Meteorological Service of Canada and the Province of British Columbia in order to further the understanding of the climate system, its variability and potential for change and the application of that understanding to decision making in both the public and private sectors.
