Support for a Qualitative Data Analysis Tool Called NVivo
Did you know that the Map & Data Library provides extensive support for a qualitative data analysis tool called NVivo?
NVivo is an well-known qualitative data analysis tool that's been around since 1997! It supports all the stages of a qualitative data analysis project, such as importing and organizing a wide range of document types, coding, writing memos, running queries, and exporting information for write-up.
The Map & Data Library provides a free license key to current faculty, staff, and students for various versions of NVivo (12, 13, 14, and 15). To obtain a license key, just use our request form. (You will be prompted to login first with your UTORID)
If you want to learn how to use NVivo, we invite you to join some of our upcoming hands-on workshops:
- Introduction to NVivo for Windows
- Introduction to NVivo for Mac
If you can't attend a live workshop, you can also watch our workshop recordings and learn more through our NVivo: Getting Started Guide.
The guide also provides links to learn more about teamwork using NVivo and various tools you can use for transcription.
If you have any questions about NVivo, you are welcome to contact us for one-on-one support!
If you are also interested in MAXQDA, another qualitative data analysis tool, the Map & Data Library is now also providing support for that as well!
