Shoreline, rivers (including lost rivers) and creeks in the City of Toronto digitized from georeferenced 19th century maps from the collections of the Map & Data Library, Toronto Public Library, the City of Toronto Archives, and Derek Hayes (author of the Historical Atlas of Toronto).

16 classifications Raster to Polygon toolbox in ArcGIS was used to create polygons for the areas of each classification.

Created from various information gathered by Map Library staff. Includes mostly community gardens and some allotment gardens. The file will be updated as further information is gathered.

Data extracted and converted from Toronto XML format web pages to shapefile format with permission from the Toronto Star Newspaper.
