These workshops offer a beginner-friendly introduction to programming that blends instruction with in-class activities that help you learn through practice.
In Part 1, we’ll cover:
- How to use Jupyter Notebooks to run Python code
- The basics of Python programming language
- How to write your first functions and programs
- Where to find additional resources
In Part 2, we’ll move on to:
- Additional data structures: lists and dictionaries
- Using boolean operators to control flow
- How to work with text strings
- Reading and writing files
There’ll be time at the end of questions and discussion.
