AI is affecting many aspects of research and education, and qualitative research is no exception. There is a growing interest in the appropriateness and effectiveness of using AI tools in various aspects of qualitative research from transcription to data analysis.

Interested in learning more and seeing how AI used in qualitative research? Join our new online workshop offered by the Map & Data Library called "Using MAXQDA & AI for Qualitative Data Analysis: Part 3" on February 26, 2-3pm.

This workshop consists of a lecture discussing:

  • how AI is used in the qualitative research process
  • what to consider when choosing to use AI for qualitative research, including data privacy and ethics

Followed by a demonstration of AI features from a popular qualitative data analysis tool called MAXQDA

There will be time at the end for questions and discussion.

Although this workshop is aimed at an audience at least somewhat familiar with MAXQDA, which can be gained by attending our part 1 & part 2 workshops on MAXQDA, knowledge of a similar tool, such as NVivo, will be enough to make sense of the features demonstrated.
