Map & Data Library to reopen Summer 2026

As many of you know, the Map & Data Library has been under renovation since May 1, 2024. Nearly two years later, we are finally preparing to move into our new space on the 5th floor of Robarts Library soon! There will be a soft reopening in summer 2026 (edited March 23, 2026: opening date is TBD, hopefully May or June), with a formal reopening planned for fall 2026. 

What the new MDL space will mean for you:

  • Drop-in access will resume! You can come by anytime Robarts is open to work on our computers with access to our suite of specialized software. Map & Data Library staff will be on hand to assist you during MDL hours.
  • A refreshed Map & Data Consultation Area with 26 updated computers.
  • A new, larger Teaching Lab with updated equipment
  • New study spaces and bookable collaboration rooms
