The Map & Data Library is running a series of GIS workshops throughout the semester. Learn the basics, get into spatial analysis, or explore how to create beatiful online stories with maps!

MDL workshop offerings

Our longstanding series of workshops on using various Esri ArcGIS tools is happening again this year (note that you can get access to these tools on your own computer)

This year, we're also introducing something new! Cole White, GIS Analyst at MDL, has put together a new series of workshops on using popular open source platform QGIS.

Other learning opportunities

Did you know there are other learning opportunities on campus this fall? Esri is hosting its biennial GIS in Education and Research Conference next week right here at U of T. It will be held at Hart House on October 16.

Coming in November

GIS Day is Wednesday November 19! While MDL won't be running any events this year, there is an annual GIS Day event organized by Western University Librararies. There is always plenty of online content to check out, and no cost to register!
