Who owns your data? What does it tell them about you? How do you identify online disinformation? Most importantly, how do you take back control?

In celebration of Data Privacy Week (January 26-30), librarians and staff from the Gerstein Science Information Centre and the Map & Data Library will offer a week of events about data literacy, your digital traces, and protecting yourself from misinformation. These events will provide a data detox: practical tips to protect yourself and your data. Plus, workshop attendees will be able to enter a draw for a chance to win one of three prizes.

For more detail, see the Gerstein + MDL Data Detox announcement.

Update: due to the campus closure on January 26th, the Expo and "Tasks for Snacks" have been rescheduled.
